This long and intensely flavoured pinot has a delicate musky, floral and spicy bouquet whose scents of dark flowers, red cherries and dark berries overlie nuances of cloves and cinnamon. Medium-bodied, its smooth and silky, with a gentle, seamless presence of vibrant cherry and raspberry flavour knit with fine-grained oak and underpinned by chalky tannins. It finishes with a hint of fragility, but with length and savoury qualities. It will slowly evolve and flesh out. Jeremy Oliver

Bindi Wines

Located in the cool-climate Macedon Ranges of Victoria, Bindi is a small, family-owned estate run by the Dhillon family on a 170-hectare property originally purchased in the 1950s as part of the Bundaleer grazing farm. The vineyard was established in 1988 by Bill and Michael Dhillon, with just seven hectares planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Under the stewardship of vigneron Michael Dhillon, Bindi has gained a reputation for producing refined, site-driven wines that emphasise balance, purity and minimal intervention, reflecting both the unique character of the vineyard and a deep commitment to sustainable farming and conservation of the surrounding bushland.
