Burghound Sweet spot Outstanding ♥ - Unlike a few bottles from 750 ml format where the noses were a bit funky, this was pure and elegant with its aromas of fresh lightly spiced plum, earth and black raspberry that are displaying only hints of secondary fruit. The dense, serious and detailed flavors possess fine concentration that helps to buffer the firm but not really austere supporting tannins on the wonderfully long and balanced finish. This is a classic La Dominode that could be enjoyed now but for my taste, I would hold it for at least another 5 years and 10 would not be too many in large format. In a word, excellent.
