Gamay is most famous for producing the red wines of Beaujolais. It is, however, also grown in reasonable quantities in various parts of the Loire Valley (notably Anjou), in Savoie and in western Switzerland. Gamay is a light to medium-bodied red wine, with intense red fruit, flowers, earth, and subtle spice. The wine has an incredible fruity aroma mainly due to a winemaking technique called Carbonic Maceration. Click here to learn more about Carbonic Maceration. It is common to find these flavours in Gamay including strawberry, cranberry, plum, raisin, watermelon, herbs, granite, forest floor & mushrooms.
I have visited Parnell in SA so I knew the wines. It was fantastic to go through all the different choices. You taste it if you like it buy a couple of bottles. Easy thank you
I’ve purchased different wines from Sedimentary a couple of times. They’ve got a great selection and really knowledgeable. I’m currently working my way through the SC Pannell wines that I bought which I’ve not had in years and really enjoying. Looking forward to my next visit.
