Wendouree Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Such good wines these 2010 Wendourees. Blackcurrant and red fruits, almost jubey in their brightness and sweetness, along with aniseed/mint and just-right cedary and nutty oak. Medium bodied, firm fine grained persistent tannin and silky acidity lends this wine an almost gentle, but powerful and insistent structure – the nuzzling horse. It’s the length though that marks it out – clean and so long – like a vapour trail in a deep blue sky. Fine wine. Pardon all the metaphors – and hyphens – it’s just enthusiasm for the wine.
