Grosset Pinot Noir 2016

This is a pinot that is all about the opening of the peacock's tail on the finish and aftertaste. The star-bright, almost luminous crimson, colour semaphores there's a lot to come, yet the bouquet is pretty, but holding its cards close to its chest. The palate lets it all hang out as a swathe of small red fruits and savoury whole bunch components contest bragging rights, ultimately having to sign a truce after the glorious finish and aftertaste.
