Spotlessly made, this brambly and musky pinot slowly unfolds a floral perfume of red cherries, raspberries and earthy undertones of spice and dried herbs that become even more heady with aeration. ItÕs long and sappy, with pristine layers of cherry and red berry flavour tightly knit with tight-grained creamy, cedary oak and a fine, crunchy backbone. Domaine Epis

Located near Woodend in Victoria’s Macedon Ranges, Domaine Epis is a small, boutique winery owned and operated by Alec Epis. The estate focuses on low-yield, cool-climate wines from its high-elevation vineyard, which sits around 620 metres above sea level and is planted primarily to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Epis developed his winemaking skills under the mentorship of respected Australian winemaker Stuart Anderson of Balgownie, continuing the traditional techniques and standards established during that partnership. With meticulous vineyard management and very limited production, Domaine Epis has earned recognition for its refined, expressive wines that highlight the purity and elegance of the Macedon Ranges.
