Literally meaning ‘White of Blacks’, Blanc de Noirs is quite simply white Champagne produced solely from the two black skinned grape varieties permitted in Champagne, namely Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Blanc de Noirs are quite versatile with food with some possessing structure to match heavier dishes where one might normally go for a heavier red.
