A supple, elegant and very finely structured cabernet with fragrance and focus. An alluringly floral perfume of cassis, dark cherries and aromatic cedary oak reveal nuances of dried herbs, raspberries and a hint of blood plum. Its long, fine-grained palate of faintly minty cassis and red cherry-like fruit is tightly wound around a spine of firmish, powdery tannins. ItÕs smooth and seamless, finely balanced and savoury. Domaine Epis

Located near Woodend in Victoria’s Macedon Ranges, Domaine Epis is a small, boutique winery owned and operated by Alec Epis. The estate focuses on low-yield, cool-climate wines from its high-elevation vineyard, which sits around 620 metres above sea level and is planted primarily to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Epis developed his winemaking skills under the mentorship of respected Australian winemaker Stuart Anderson of Balgownie, continuing the traditional techniques and standards established during that partnership. With meticulous vineyard management and very limited production, Domaine Epis has earned recognition for its refined, expressive wines that highlight the purity and elegance of the Macedon Ranges.
