The 2024 Volnay Les Santenots 1er Cru includes 20% whole bunch and 20% new oak. This has a delectable, slightly minty bouquet that combines beautifully with the delineated red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, the stems here deftly used and imparting a subtle pepperiness that comes through more strongly on the finish. Fine structure and persistency, though not powerful per se, this is a well-made Volnay. Neal Martin, Vinous
