Burghound Outstanding ♥ - This is also aromatically ripe yet cool with its layered and very pretty nose of various red berries, spiced tea and just turned earth. The palate impression of the medium weight flavors is not quite as refined yet it's seductive all the same while exhibiting fine length on the more powerful and generous finish. Elegant and soulful, Domaine Taupenot-Merme is a family-run gem based in Morey-Saint-Denis. Today, siblings Romain and Virginie Taupenot craft wines that are pitch-perfect expressions of their terroirs across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Farming organically since 2001, they focus on old vines, gentle handling, and traditional techniques to capture purity and finesse. Their wines are fully de-stemmed, naturally fermented, unfiltered, and vegan-friendly. From their stunning village wines through to the grand crus, these are expressive, textural Burgundies that speak with quiet confidence and unshakable class. For those in the know, Taupenot-Merme is Burgundy at its most soulful.
