Dark-fruited, showing red and black currants, cherries, tobacco leaves, licorice root, cedar and graphite with an earthy, stony complexity. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with integrated, silky yet firm tannins and bright acidity, finishing long and spicy. A finely constructed blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot, 15% cabernet franc, 5% malbec and 5% petit verdot, showing lovely harmony with years ahead in the cellar. Drink or hold. 99 points Ryan Montgomery, jamessuckling.com

47/28/15/6/4% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/cabernet franc/ petit verdot/malbec. A medium, very bright purple. With aromas of pure blackcurrant, crushed violets, pencil-box shavings and graphite, this soars effortlessly from the glass. Medium to full bodied, this has an intensity on the palate that's in perfect harmony with the wine's firm yet svelte, long-chained tannins. Another superb Quintet destined to cellar well for over the next 10–20 years. Drink 2026-2040. 98 points Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

Mount Mary

Set in the heart of the Yarra Valley, Mount Mary is a family owned estate crafting finessed wines across 40 acres of vines. The single vineyard estate is now run by Sam Middleton who works diligently in the vines as his father, David, and grandfather, John, once did. At the forefront of the resurgence of the Yarra Valley, the Middleton family has not taken the foot of the pedal as they continue to innovate and future proof their vines generation after generation. Finding similarities to Burgundy and Bordeaux, the terroir of the Yarra Valley is the perfect platform for winemakers such as the Middletons to develop their fine wines to rival that of France.

Vintage Release - Ben Glaetzer

I was tracking down a couple of vintage bottles of Amon Ra and stumbled across Sedimentary Wines in Brisbane, excellent selection of premium wines with a range of vintages. Amazing climate-controlled storage facility, to which you can even store you own wine! I meet the own and even got a tour of the facility, highly recommend for purchasing fine wines and storage if you so need.

Definitely go and check them out

I’ve purchased different wines from Sedimentary a couple of times. They’ve got a great selection and really knowledgeable. I’m currently working my way through the SC Pannell wines that I bought which I’ve not had in years and really enjoying. Looking forward to my next visit.
