Louis Jadot Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru (Louis Jadot) 2019

A relatively expressive nose offers up its array of essence of red berries, earth and pretty floral suggestions trimmed in just enough wood to mention. There is a lovely texture to the otherwise reasonably concentrated and moderately powerful flavours that also coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also helps partially buffer the solidly firm and slightly raspy tannic spine shaping the austere, mildly warm and compact finale. This is clearly going to require time to reach its full potential though it's not so structured that it couldn't be approached after 6 to 8 years. Allen Meadows - Burghound
