1 x GIANT STEPS YARRA VALLEY CHARDONNAY 2023

An even split of upper and lower Yarra fruit. Whole-bunch pressed and wild fermented in 15% new French puncheons. Around 25% mlf. A very bright green gold. Attractive scents of ripe white pears and nectarines, lemon curd and just the right amount of flint. Packs a punch on the saline, gently textured, gently chewy palate. Great stuff and the perfect entrée to the year's superb lineup of single-vineyard chardonnays. Philip Rich, The Wine Companion

1 X GIANT STEPS YARRA VALLEY ROSÉ 2023

Giant Steps Rosé is inspired by the wines of Provence with the perfume and beauty of early-picked Yarra Valley Pinot Noir and Syrah. Hand-picked and gently pressed, the combination creates a Rosé that is deliciously refreshing. 2023 was a small, high-quality vintage in the Yarra Valley. The season was defined by a cool Spring, a mild growing season, cool nights, and lots of rainfall. 2023 was one of the coolest and latest harvests on record, with our first pick starting two and a half weeks later than previous average. The grapes in 2023 had lovely fruit concentration with bright natural acidities. Winery note.

1 x GIANT STEPS YARRA VALLEY PINOT NOIR 2023

A 50/50% mix of upper and lower Yarra fruit; 35% whole bunches and matured in French oak (10% new). A bright crimson red. After a few good few swirls, aromas of ripe raspberries, black cherries, wild herbs and some crushed violets soon emerge. The palate, though, doesn't need much coaxing, and this silken, sappy wine has excellent depth and persistence. Will be even better six to 12 months from now. Philip Rich, The Wine Companion

1 x GIANT STEPS LDR PINOT NOIR SYRAH 2023

A vibrant crimson purple. This really is the perfect blend for the Yarra when it comes to quaffable, affordable and delicious wines that don't require a lot of thought. With its aromas of red and black fruits, lifted spice and potpourri notes and a palate that is light to medium bodied, juicy-fruited and vibrant, this ticks all the aforementioned boxes. 1 x GIANT STEPS SCG SYRAH CARIGNAN GRENACHE 2020

The syrah comes from the Sexton and Tarraford Vineyards; the carignan and grenache are grown at the Tarraford Vineyard. A combination of whole bunches and whole berries. Bright crimson. A spicy number, redolent of dark cherries and raspberries, together with pink peppercorns, star anise and dried mountain herbs. There's a floral element too. Medium bodied, there's a ripeness and juiciness to the fruit that's balanced by refreshing acidity and fine tannins. It's pretty tasty now, but should continue to improve for at least the next 4–5 years. Philip Rich, The Wine Companion
