Palish colour. This needs time to get over its little bit of reduction. Otherwise the nose is restrained. By contrast, there is a delicious amplitude of fruit in the mouth, tight but balanced, a wealth of intensity towards the back, maybe some liquorice, really classic. Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy

Francois Raveneau

Domaine François Raveneau is an acclaimed family producer located in the Chablis subregion of Burgundy, France. The domaine has established a name for crisp, mineral-rich Chardonnay wines made from fruit cultivated in small, select parcels in the appellation's top vineyards. Third-generation cousins, Isabelle and Maxime Raveneau are at the helm today with their recently-retired fathers, brothers Bernard and Jean-Marie, supporting by keeping their hands in across the vineyards and cellar. Prior to retirement, the brothers built on founder and father François Raveneau's implementation of age-old traditional vineyard and winery techniques before passing the baton to their children.
