Perfumed floral nose with crystalline small red fruit dusted in icing sugar. Very precise and aromatically layered. The palate is compact and concentrated with very good density and depth, wrapped in grainy, ripe tannins. Very long, evolving finish with a classic peacock's tail. The structure currently dominates the back-palate and this will need time to emerge properly but will be spectacular when it finally does. Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review - 97 points

Felton Road wines is located in Bannockburn, Central Otago in New Zealand, the most southerly wine growing region in the World. Here, vineyards are nestled into small macroclimates totally surrounded by high mountains, many of which are snowcapped all year round. Though the location is on the edge of sustainable viticulture these macroclimates consistently combine hot days, cool nights and long dry autumns.
