Not yet reviewed – The hallmark of the Bannockburn Chardonnay has always been its purity and that continues to be the driving force in the 2025. A focussed nose of citrus blossom, mineral and a hint of fresh peach invites you in. Then a rush of pure refreshment; citrus, white peach, greengage, but all so fresh, just on the cusp of ripening. The ethereal florals persist with the flavours right into the clean linear finish, where a gentle wave of salinity closes the show. A wine completely empty of ego, happy to please with its deliciousness. Winery note.

Felton Road wines is located in Bannockburn, Central Otago in New Zealand, the most southerly wine growing region in the World. Here, vineyards are nestled into small macroclimates totally surrounded by high mountains, many of which are snowcapped all year round. Though the location is on the edge of sustainable viticulture these macroclimates consistently combine hot days, cool nights and long dry autumns. The latitude of 45 degrees south is similar to the Willamette Valley in Oregon and some of the finest wine regions of France.
