Its location is one of Delamotte’s richest assets. The chalky soil, the flora and the sloping vineyards give the grapes their exceptional character, delivering delicate, consistent champagnes. Comprised of 60% Chardonnay,  35% Pinot Noir from Tours-sur-Marne, Bouzy and Ambonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier. This wine has matured for 36 months on lees, with a base wine from 2018 with 20% reserve wines from 2017 and 2016.

Fresh and inviting aromas of white flowers, ripe pear, and quince are followed by a ripe, medium-bodied wine on the palate. Juicy up front and through the long finish, it delivers wonderfully ripe fruit and purity without feeling harsh. It’s ready to drink now or over
the next 5-7 years. They have been gradually increasing the proportion of Chardonnay in the blend and decreasing the Meunier. 8 grams per liter of dosage. Audrey Frick, Jeb Dunnuck

Delamotte

Founded in 1760 in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a grand cru village located in la Côte des Blancs, Champagne Delamotte works this enchanting terroir to grow chardonnay, the only white grape variety used to make champagne. Well-reputed among sommeliers and wine enthusiasts, our champagnes are known for their consistency, delicacy and exceptional character. For over 260 years, we have been developing four different cuvées, a small range that gives amateurs and experts alike a clear understanding of the art of champagne. Our Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Blancs vintage, Brut and Rosé are quintessentiel champagne wines. At Champagne Delamotte, we are proud to share our savoir-faire as it is our firm belief that champagne is a universal language that anybody can learn. From Cramant to Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, through Avize and Oger : all are found in the Côte des Blancs. Its location is one of Delamotte’s richest assets. The chalky soil, the flora and the sloping vineyards give the grapes their exceptional character, delivering delicate, consistent champagnes. Championing this exceptional terroir, drawing the best from it while maintaining absolute respect for the vines and the environment - that's what Delamotte is all about.
