A whiff of the exotic sits atop the pretty aromas of white peach, straw and petrol. There is very good vibrancy to the intense and well-detailed flavours that are clean, dry and persistent if only moderately complex. Still, this offers solid quality for its level and is a wine that should drink well early. Allen Meadows - Burghound

Producer

Camille Giroud

Camille Giroud established the winery in 1903 as a negociant house buying finished wines and aging in their cellars. A few generations later, after Lucien Giroud died in 1986, his sons Bernard and Francois took over the operations of the Estate and, in 1990, decided to stop the negociant activity. The focus of the 1990s was to enlarge the holdings. Unfortunately, financial turmoils pushed the pair to sell the Domaine in 2000 to Becky Wasserman. David Croix soon became the oenologist and managing director until 2016. Nowadays, they own many great vineyards and produce incredible wines from top-flight appellations. This Bourgogne Blanc is a beautiful expression of a regional appellation's wines; the estate sources the fruits from plots in Puligny-Montrachet and the Maconnais region of Burgundy.
