Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru Boucheres 2023

Lafon's Bouchères is a step up in concentration and buttery depth, with aromas of ripe apple, nectarine and a suggestion of flowers. The texture is lush, and there is impressive acidity and length. Lafon farms 0.3ha high on the slope, acquired from Cottin Frères in the René Manuel deal in 2010. The grapes are lightly crushed and fermented with a generous proportion of lees. Recently racked to tank and still not quite fallen clear. Mid lemon. Fresh plums on the nose. Pure white fruit, even some peaches, peaches and cream in fact, with a soft generous finish, fair length, all in charm more than tension. 92-94 points Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
