TASTING_NOTES_HEADING_BLACK

Geological features of light sand and red clay, with the oldest vines of the site harking back to 1911. Matured in older 500L and 2500L wood. 2019 reds are stellar, defined by a generosity of extract without slipping into overt fruitiness. This is no exception. Maturation in older oak promotes breadth and a relaxed feel, without any overt oaky clang. It also mitigates shiraz's reductive tendencies. The end result, mid-weighted of feel and savoury, with dark cherry, mulberry, root spice, suede and licorice. Hunter's terracotta notes, embedded. The tenacity of flavour and length, auguring well for a long life. Ned Goodwin MW, Halliday Wine Companion
