The grapes were transported to Brokenwood, destemmed, 20% whole bunches, 3 days cold soak, open-fermented, matured in a 1yo French 2800l cask. Full, bright crimson-purple; a full-bodied wine with its future already laid out as the tannins soften and all the spicy/peppery red and black cherry fruit escape the bonds that presently prevent communication are released.
