Chateau Prieure Lichine

Château Prieuré-Lichine is a Fourth Growth (Grand Cru Classé) estate located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux’s Médoc region. With origins dating back to a Benedictine priory where monks cultivated vines, the estate gained international recognition after its acquisition in 1951 by renowned wine merchant Alexis Lichine, who modernised the property and gave it his name. Today owned by the Groupe Ballande, the estate spans around 77 hectares of gravel-rich vineyards planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, producing elegant Margaux wines that combine historical heritage with modern winemaking precision.
