The following wines are included in the 6PK:

SPINIFEX ROSÈ 2023

Another delicious rosé from the fine folks at Spinifex; 37% grenache, 36% mataro and 27% cinsault. Light salmon pink with aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, watermelon and ruby red grapefruit. Hints of freshly cut fennel, blood orange, soft spice, almond paste, wildflowers and stone. Just a slide of phenolic texture before the wine sails off, focused and briny, with a wash of lightly spiced red fruits and stone. Savoury and moreish. Dave Brookes for James Halliday

BONDAR GRENACHE CINSAULT ROSÈ 2023

A blend of 84/13/3% grenache/cinsault/counoise. Rayner vineyard old-vine grenache fermented and raised in oak; grower grenache, younger vine grenache from Rayner, cinsault and counoise tank fermented at lower temperatures. An effortless combination of engaging brightness, savouriness and subtle favour detail combined with texture, a reserved juiciness, proper dryness and a subtle sandy grip. Flavours skip through redcurrant, watermelon, cranberry, tart mulberry and the like. It’s moreish stuff, never hinting at confection, never turning up the commercial showiness, also managing to over deliver on appeal and serious intent. This is benchmark stuff, further cementing Bondar’s rosé as a reference point. Marcus Ellis for James Halliday

GIANT STEPS ROSÈ 2023

Giant Steps Rosé is inspired by the wines of Provence with the perfume and beauty of early-picked Yarra Valley Pinot Noir and Syrah. Hand-picked and gently pressed, the combination creates a Rosé that is deliciously refreshing. 2023 was a small, high-quality vintage in the Yarra Valley. The season was defined by a cool Spring, a mild growing season, cool nights, and lots of rainfall. 2023 was one of the coolest and latest harvests on record, with our first pick starting two and a half weeks later than previous average. The grapes in 2023 had lovely fruit concentration with bright natural acidities. Winery note.

DOMINIQUE PORTET FONTAINE ROSÈ 2024

In true Provence fashion, this wine is a pretty, light pink-bronze colour. On the nose, there’s a lifted Peach Melba aroma, with a strawberry compote addition. It has an attractive, gentle texture. Fine natural acidity draws out the palate to a moreish finish. Comprised of 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet and 10% Shiraz, and all picked by hand before being gently crushed and pressed. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks for pure, unadulterated red fruit expression and freshness. Winery note

RAMEAU D'OR COTE DE PROVENCE ROSÈ 2022

Grenache (65%), Syrah (20%) and Cinsault (15%). A delicate-coloured rose showing the traditional pale onion skin tones. On the nose the wine offers a hint of wild strawberries and delicate spicy notes reminiscent of rose petal. On the palate the wine shows immediate soft berry-fruit flavours that are immediately appealing. A crisp, dry finish with exceptional length rounds off the wine. Winery note

BROKENWOOD ROSATO 2023

This is a sophisticated bone-dry rosé, predicated on using sangiovese and nebbiolo to give the wine an inherent savouriness, depth and length of flavour. The palate belies the simplicity of its pale-pink appearance, delivering a cleansing yet satisfying experience with subtle red berry fruit kissed by lemon sherbert and watermelon. The fruit was partially crushed by foot-stomping, then the juice and skins steeped overnight then pressed. Most of the juice was fermented stainless steel, with a small portion in old oak. Toni Paterson for James Halliday
